
Professional Bio
Dr. Basaria’s career in health and wellness spans 20 plus years. She has worked with various institutions in the areas of preventive care and lifestyle modifications; public health program design and evaluation; applied research and data analytics; as well as population health research and behavioral health.
Her formal education includes a Master of Science in Biochemistry, which allowed her to acquire a deep understanding of the workings of the human body at a cellular level. She then went on to study population health and behavioral change, obtaining her Master of Science in Health Promotion, followed by a Doctorate in Public Health Practice.
Dr. Basaria considers herself a lifelong learner in the areas of holistic health and mind-body medicine. She is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach and also holds a certification in health coaching, yoga and meditation.
With her training in health sciences, applied research, behavioral change, health coaching, yoga and meditation, Dr. Basaria works with her clients to provide an understanding of how food, hydration, sleep and physical activity can serve as natural remedies for various health conditions. In addition, she provides scientific evidence that supports the belief that healthy relationships, mindfulness, meditation and various other alternative techniques are key to optimal health and have a lasting impact on one’s overall health and well-being.
Through her coaching, speaking and community work, she has inspired people to eat well, manage stress and lead vibrant, healthy lives without feeling hungry, deprived or dissatisfied. Her goal is to use a holistic approach to transform the overall health of the community of people with whom she works.
Dr. Basaria lives in Lewisville, TX with her wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters. They love to ride bikes, go on nature hikes and prepare healthy gourmet meals together as a family.
