I am Dr. Emilee Quiroz and I wanted to tell you about my personal experience with Dr. Basaria’s program. I was first interested in this program because I wanted to get a baseline for how to meditate. After starting the group, I decided I wanted more out of the program then just learning how to practice meditation. Dr. Basaria helped me decide on things that I wanted to improve on during this journey. Some of the things I decided to work on were: getting back into a workout routine, develop better eating habits, specifically by decreasing my caffeine and sugar intake, drinking more water throughout the day, decreasing stress through meditation and consistency working towards a better sleep routine. Throughout the program I went from not wanting to workout very often to consistently working out multiple times a week and even sometimes multiple times a day. I went from multiple cups of coffee, tea and soda daily to one caffeine drink per day. I broke the habit of snacking, which in turn decreased my sugar intake. I made a conscious effort to drink as much water as I could throughout the day. I started practicing meditation daily.
Some of my favorite results I obtained from this program were: weight-loss, better healthier looking skin and body, better sleep, decreased migraine headaches and most of all I felt like I gained self control which has increased my quality of life. I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to make any changes in their life for better health.

First of all I would like to acknowledge Dr. Basaria’s positive attitude towards her clients and her work as she loves doing what she does. I enjoyed working with her because she is so dedicated to helping her clients in achieving their goals. Her positivity is contagious and contributed in achieving my goals of joining her.
Dr. Basaria is incredibly knowledgeable. Her clients have great results because she understands metabolic pathways, which helps in leading a healthier life style and prevent and treat both mental and physical illnesses. She understands people and their needs, and this is a great characteristic for somebody who inspires others to live a better life. I joined her Mindful Nutrition program to understand healthy nutrition for better gut health and body detox for my patients and myself. I also learned techniques of deep breathing, mindfulness and meditation, which helped me greatly in a chaotic and hectic life style. Her program made so much sense. I highly recommend her Mindful Nutrition program to anyone who is struggling to understand his or her nutritional needs and caught in a viscous cycle of losing and gaining weight. This will eventually help them in facing illnesses they are suffering. Program works best for people who want to make an impact in changing their life and life of others.

I cannot recommend Dr. Basaria enough. As a medical practitioner that focuses on prevention and healing the body with a more holistic approach, I find her program so empowering and truly helping us live to our full potential. My cohorts quickly became my cheerleaders and my support system. I used to work out 6 days a week but still struggled to feel good from within. I have started losing weight, sleeping better, managing my stress better and overall living a well-rounded and happy life. I am a practitioner at a start up clinic so my life is always on the go and stressful. With the techniques I have learned here, I was empowered to manage all my stress and still live a fulfilling life. First of all I’m really thankful for being part of this program. I’ve read so many articles on the Internet about health but didn’t know how to implement or apply so many different things in a proper way, and then came this program that truly helped me and showed me how to make different changes in my own as well as my family’s life.
The practice of walking 10,000 steps per day encourages me to go for a walk everyday. Now whether it’s too cold, rain or shine, I just go for a walk and I really enjoy that time of the day as it gives me lots of positive thoughts and energy and is a great stress reliever as well. Now, we eat lots of vegetables and fruits instead of processed food for snacks and I always read labels before buying any package or other food. This program is really helping us with our quality of Life.
I would like to thank Dr.Basaria for putting so much effort in all of us. She is so knowledgeable in her field that she explains every bit of it with so much ease and confidence. I personally appreciate her efforts when she called me personally and paid full attention to my concerns. She was not in a rush at all. From day one, since I met her she is full of positive attitude.

Dr. Basaria was recommended to me through my chiropractor, Dr. Emily. The first session that I attended was on the healthy gut and I knew right away that she is a very knowledgeable person who is passionate about what she does. She is able to explain complex topics about what is happening in our body to people who don’t have medical background in a very clear and understandable way. She taught me how important it is that we are informed about what we are putting in our body and how so many of our illnesses comes from the gut. I feel comfortable approaching her with any questions I might have and can truly see how dedicated she is to her work.
I have been struggling with a sugar compulsion for as long as I remember. As a child almost all of my dishes were sweet. As I got older, my body was not able to handle this lifestyle and I noticed it impacting my blood sugar, sleep, mood, and energy levels.
When Dr. Basaria mentioned that she could help me with all this, I got very excited and signed up for her program. In just the first week, I learned so much and was eager to keep coming back and learn more from her. I made a lot of positive changes in my diet, which now mostly consists of vegetables, fruits and organic food. I feel more energetic, happier and my sleep is improving, as well.
There is still so much to learn from her and she has made me excited to continue my health journey. Her dedication to me has had a positive impact on my lifestyle choices that I will commit to for life.

I joined the program to get an understanding about how to restore my gut health, build discipline around losing weight and get started on my weight loss journey. The most significant change I have noticed since joining the program is the feeling of being lighter and healthy. I have lost 13 lbs. since joining the program and have very less constipation and joint pain. All the symptoms have already gone and I have just gotten started. Dr. Basaria was able to help me by educating me about gut health and showing me how to restore my GI health and hurting joints. Dr. Basaria is very knowledgeable and helpful and was always there to answer any questions or concerns. She delivered what she promised. Meditation has helped me significantly. I have also made changes in my food habits. I am aware now of how I carry stress in my body and better ways to cope with it. I am now focused on making myself better and happy so I can do that for others.

My lifestyle has changed completely. Now I sleep much better, feel positive and sustain energy throughout the day. I have fewer cravings for sugar and other non-healthy foods.

It’s amazing to see such a tremendous change, in the way, we now think about our choices, especially about what to provide and what to avoid for our bodies.

When I first heard about this program, I thought we will be shown how to workout and will also be guided a little bit regarding diet but when I attended the first session, I was amazed. As a result of this program, I am so much calmer and centered. I have finally found ways to prioritize my self care probably because what you have taught us. Dr. Basaria is an amazing coach: thoughtful, professional, and compassionate. I started our sessions with the goal to loose weight, implement some healthy habits, and begin eating more mindfully. Little did I know that the work would go so much deeper. She asked questions that really helped me get to the core of what was holding me back from achieving my health goals. After each session she would send me an update of the session and a reminder about what I committed to work on until the next time we met. She is so thorough and good at what she does. Dr. Basaria is amazing. She is passionate about her work and works with her clients at a pace that her clients dictate. I would recommend her to anybody looking to take the next step with their health goals, whether that is through diet, mindfulness, social interaction, etc. Dr. Basaria is extremely well educated, both formally and informally. I would argue she is at the forefront of understanding all the modern tools necessary for somebody to approach management of their health from a 360-degree perspective given all the challenges of staying healthy in the modern world.

Dr. Basaria is exceptional at uncovering the problems her clients are facing. I came to her feeling inadequate and confused but after only a few sessions, not only was I able to make a concrete plan of action for my self moving forward but also how to implement it in my life taking one step at a time. Dr. Basaria was with me every step of the way. She helped me create a visual of how I was feeling in different areas of my life and explore the ones I wanted to win first. With her help, I created a plan of success for myself. Now all that I have learned with her, I am able to adjust my actions and modify my behavior for continued success. I would like to give my sincere thanks to Dr. Basaria for her wealth of knowledge and tremendous support she offers to her clients.

My top three goals upon starting the 6-month program were 1) To get an understanding of the root cause of my addiction to sugar, resulting in weight loss, being happier with clothes fitting. 2) Begin a regular practice of meditation, 5 to 7 days per week to help with anxiety and 3) Determine steps to be more organized financially, at home and physically.
Dr. Basaria was able to help me work toward these goals by giving me specific steps to achieve these. For example, she taught me a 4-step meditation. It made it more structured for me, which worked better. She talked to me about healthier things to eat. Dr. Basaria gave me specifics and sent me encouragement from time to time. She also sent helpful graphics and videos. She asked me to commit to take baby steps to achieve goals. I made a commitment and kept my promise. It made it easier to “eat this elephant” in front of me. “One bite at a time!”
Some tangible changes I have noticed since beginning the program has been that my cravings for bad food are better. Not completely gone, but Dr. Basaria told me to expect times (< 10%) where I am not following my plan. She said we are human, so there is no judgment. I feel less pressure, when those times occur. My mobility is better. I had some physical challenges to overcome and she helped me work through that to focus on things I could change. My anxiety is much better. I’m not sure why, if it’s the meditation, the activity or what. It doesn’t matter. I sleep better. I have a better attitude….that’s all that matters.
The most significant overall change I have noticed has been that my sleep is so much better. With that, I think my health is better as well as my attitude. I think when we get into a rut, where good sleep is lacking, everything goes wonky. Her suggestion for me to meditate before bed was a game changer as far as me getting to and staying asleep.
I would describe Dr. Basaria as someone who is very understanding. During these months, I had some very unusual life changes that threw me off course. She helped me and focused on what I was going through. My goals were secondary at that moment. I think she saw that nothing would be accomplished if we didn’t deal with the crisis at hand. It was very helpful. We had some close family member(s) that passed away. She helped me see death in a different way and that discussion was very beneficial. Then we went back to my goals.
Another thing that I appreciated was her way to alleviate pressure I felt when things didn’t go the way I wanted. She would talk to me about why that happened and how to handle it in the future. I felt at those times she was very intuitive.
I would recommend Dr. Basaria to anyone who is willing to make changes in their lives. To do this you must be ready to commit and understand why habits have been developed. With this understanding and her guidance, you can make a change. Dr. Basaria is very organized and available. She kept to our timeline and when either of us needed to change, she was understanding. She kept her commitments to our agreement. She is a consistent source of support and guidance. I plan to use her again in the future for other goals I have.

With coaching support and input, I really know for the first time in my life that I can and will achieve any goals that I set for myself. Step by step I’m becoming healthier and happier. Having a coach has made all the difference in the world to me. Thanks Dr. Basaria!
